Huawei’s Watch GT Runner 2 targets Garmin’s mid-range with a 34.5g titanium build, new dual-band GPS, and serious training tools like running power and lactate threshold plus up to 14-day battery life at £349.99, launching 26 February 2026.

Priced at £349.99 and launching on 26 February 2026, the device undercuts premium Garmin models but sits above value-driven rivals such as Coros.

Early impressions suggest Huawei is positioning this as a comeback statement for its performance line, four years after the original GT Runner.

The 34.5g titanium-alloy case keeps weight to a minimum, while a redesigned dual-band GPS system introduces what Huawei calls a “3D Floating Antenna Architecture,” promising stronger signal stability across GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU and QZSS.

Battery life claims reach up to 14 days in smartwatch mode and 32 hours in dual-band GPS mode, with fast charging delivering substantial top-ups in minutes.

On the training side, Huawei adds wrist-based running power, lactate threshold detection developed with Beijing Sport University, and an Intelligent Marathon Mode shaped by insights from the DSM-Firmenich Pro Running Team.

The software experience still leans lifestyle-first, but if GPS and sensor accuracy prove consistent under race conditions, the Watch GT Runner 2 could emerge as one of 2026’s most competitive running watches.
