Whoop and Ferrari are turning Formula 1 into a human endurance game, using real-time recovery and strain data from Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and the wider team to sharpen performance across the entire race calendar.
Whoop is stepping deeper into elite sport with a new partnership that puts human endurance at the center of Formula 1 performance.
The wearable technology company announced Thursday that it will become the official health and fitness tracker partner of Scuderia Ferrari HP for the upcoming season, focusing on recovery, strain, and physiological readiness across the team.

While Formula 1 is often framed as an engineering battle, the physical demands on drivers mirror those of high-performance runners: sustained cardiovascular strain, heat stress, reaction speed, and recovery under relentless travel schedules.
Through this partnership, Whoop will deliver continuous health data not only for drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, but also for the broader Ferrari performance staff.
According to Whoop, the collaboration will integrate real-time metrics such as heart rate variability, sleep quality, respiratory rate, and recovery scores into Ferrari’s existing medical and conditioning programs.
The goal is to optimize how the team trains, travels, and prepares between races during the long Formula 1 calendar.
Whoop founder and CEO Will Ahmed described the partnership as a meeting point between mechanical precision and human performance science.
Ferrari’s leadership emphasized that extending data analysis beyond the car allows the team to refine preparation at every level.
With devices already deployed ahead of the March season opener, Ferrari is effectively treating its drivers like elite endurance athletes whose recovery curves matter as much as lap times.
