Eliud Kipchoge’s Next Chapter Will Take Him Across Every Continent‍

November 2, 2025

Eliud Kipchoge is setting out to run seven marathons across seven continents to raise global awareness for education and sustainability through his new project, Eliud’s Running World.

Eliud Kipchoge, the greatest marathoner of all time, has revealed his next great challenge a global project named Eliud’s Running World.

Its mission: to bring education and sustainability to every corner of the planet through the power of running.

The initiative will begin with a two-year world tour featuring seven marathons, one on each continent.

Just hours after crossing the finish line at the 2025 New York City Marathon where he finished 17th, marking the completion of all six World Marathon Majors Kipchoge took to social media to share his vision.

“This is not a farewell,” he clarified. “It’s a new beginning. From now on, I’ll run for a greater purpose.”

His NN Running Team confirmed that while his competitive focus will shift, Kipchoge will continue to race at the elite level.

In a video released to announce the project, Kipchoge reflects on his lifelong connection to running:

“When I was a child, I fell in love with the feeling of freedom that running gave me. Watching the champions who came before me made me dream of inspiring the world. I worked hard to prove that no human is limited. Now, I’m embarking on my biggest adventure yet running seven marathons on seven continents. Together, we can make this a running world.”

Thus begins the Eliud Kipchoge World Tour, a journey spanning every continent North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and even Antarctica.

Each marathon will serve as both a sporting feat and a platform to raise awareness and resources for Kipchoge’s foundation, which supports access to education and environmental sustainability.

“Every child deserves knowledge, education, and clean air to breathe,” Kipchoge explains. “Through this global tour, I hope to inspire change and help young people build brighter futures.”

The world tour marks the first step in Eliud’s Running World, a decade-long initiative that will include multiple projects leading up to his 50th birthday.

The first marathon destination of this inspiring journey will be announced soon.
